I recently came across a story titled "Minnesota Prof Pledges to Desecrate Eucharist". Then I went to the professor's blog and read the post where he pledges to do this. [Warning: there is foul and blasphemous language there.]
It is this bread (which came down from heaven - John 6) by which we are made one. "Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread."(1 Cor 10:17) Satan hates the Eucharist, for it is Christ's salvation for the world, and the means by which we all are made one in Christ. I hope that all Christians of every denominational tradition, will stand in solidarity with the Catholic Church against the desecration of the Holy Eucharist.

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do to Your Son.
Holy Spirit, unite all those who love Jesus, in full visible union, that we may shine as one in love to this darkening world, with one heart, one voice, and one faith. Amen.
