Aquinas and Trent: Part 2, is now posted. Here I talk about Aquinas' understanding of the essence of original sin, in preparation for understanding the theological rationale behind the Fifth Session of the Council of Trent.
Hello again. I'm glad I've come back to read this blog. While in Prot. leadership in a women's ministry, I keep coming back to read this. I pray it starts to make sense, and I appreciate your prayers as He helps me sort out my questions. I've been in touch with a priest and an Inquiry instructor at the local RCC. Thanks.
It is good to hear from you. Happy Easter! Thanks for your note. If something I wrote doesn't make sense to you, please write me and ask me to clarify. I'm glad to hear you've been in touch with a priest. Please keep me posted. Some inquiry instructors are better than others. Pick up copy of the Catholic Catechism, if you don't already have one. Peter Kreeft's Catholic Christianity is also a helpful (and a bit more accessible) summary of the Catechism. May our Lord guide you in this search for the truth.
This is a forum for charitable dialogue and discourse for the purpose of achieving the full visible unity of all Christians in truth. Please avoid ad hominems, rants, personal attacks, and table-pounding assertions. You are welcome to offer observations, arguments, evidence, questions, or objections, in a spirit of openness and humility, with the aim of bringing all Christians into the unity Jesus describes in John 17.
