Presbyterians (PCUSA) vote to eliminate standards of "chastity and fidelity"

At the recent PCUSA general assembly, it was proposed once again, after many years of attempts, to remove the "chastity and fidelity" paragraph from the PCUSA's "Book of Order". The proposal finally passed. Read the story at CNA. In short, PCUSA pastors are now no longer required to practice either chastity or fidelity. The PCUSA has 2.2 million members. It lost 46,000 members in 2005, losing on average over 36,000 members per year the previous ten years. I expect the membership to decline even more rapidly in the next five to ten years, and the denomination to be virtually defunct in thirty years. Liberalism is only parasitic; it cannot sustain itself, because over time it becomes what it is, self-worship. And self-worship is individualism, which cannot sustain a unity. H/T: Dave Armstrong

  1. I just saw this today... I am absolutely horrified!
No wonder people are looking to Rome! The whole world is going crazy liberal!

May God be glorified even when the enemy does his worst!
